This is a non-exhaustive list of Ido prefixes.
List¶
ad-¶
Semantics: The prefix ad means the same as the preposition ad (a).
Morphology: In compounding, the longer form ad is used, not a.
Antonym: de-
- to (indicating that to which there is movement, tendency or position, with or without arrival)
Examples:
- adhike (ad- 'to' + hike 'here') – hither, to here, to this place
- adporter (ad- 'to' + porter 'carry, bring') – bring, carry (to a person or place)
- adirar (ad- 'to' + irar 'go (be on one's way)') – go to, go towards, approach

Semantics: The prefix an has the same meaning as the preposition an.
- at
- on (indicates contiguity, juxtaposition)
Examples:
ante-¶
Semantics: The prefix ante means the same as the preposition ante.
Antonym: pos-
- before (of time)
- earlier than
Examples:
- antediluvia (ante- 'before' + diluvia 'flood') – antediluvian
- antemortar (ante- 'before' + mortar 'die') – predecease
- anteprelasta (ante- 'before' + pre- 'pre-' + last- 'last' + '-a' adjectival ending) – antepenultimate
anti-¶
Semantics: In scientific and technical terminology anti- means "against".
Synonym: kontre-

- antipatriota (anti -'anti-' + patriota 'patriotic') – unpatriotic

Semantics: The prefix apud to has the same meaning as the preposition apud.

arki-¶
Semantics: This prefix means superior or distinguished degree.
- prefix used especially in titles:
- of eminent degree
- chief
- arch-, archi-
Examples:
- arkiduko (arki 'arch-' + duko 'duke') – archduke
- arkiepiskopo (arki 'arch-' + episkopo 'bishop') – archbishop
- arkianjelo (arki 'arch-' + anjelo 'angel') – archangel
